Joy
Born 2018
Joy was, along with Jay, one of the first Mallard ducks we were able to follow from the first day they emerged from the hell of the foie gras industry. This rescue took place in winter, in 2018, not very obvious conditions to keep warm two little ducklings without a mother of their species. Today Joy has lost his brother but he continues to live happily on his pond surrounded by other feathered and furry friends

The five ducklings
Born 2019
The five girls were six at the start, and they too were taken out of an industrial hatchery on the first day of their lives at the beginning of 2019. What was supposed to be an initial rescue of two ducklings ended with six lives saved. Unfortunately one of the girls was attacked by a predator but that didn't stop the girls from sticking together. Female mule ducklings do not have black spots on their heads like males do. They have on the other hand light beige traces which fade a little with time which does not allow to distinguish them well.

Lily & Rose
Born 2020
Lily & Rose are part of the latest rescue, which took place in May 2020. They have small beige spots on their head but they are mainly differentiated by their size. To date, Rose is lighter than Lily, making her the smaller of the two. They live in the same host family as Joy and will soon have the chance to discover the joys of the pond.
